Love your Culture

Today is the day before valentine's day and Devin and I had an argument this morning. Topic of argument- Retaking Photos. This morning I asked him to take a photo of Me in my new Jcrew coat, so my mom could see it. My mom lives in Trinidad so I usually have to send her photos of me so she can keep up with what's going on in my world. I took the photo outside in the snow so she could also see the 23 inches of snow that fell this weekend at the front of building. After Devin took the photo I asked him if I could see it, he was like so disgruntal, like he didn't want to retake the shot if i didn't like it so he gave it to me and walked away. I was so pissed. He knows I love my photos, unlike him, I totally care what the hell I look like so I don't mind retaking bad shots. Anyway, I got at him real good, Don't mess with my photos okay, I hope he got the memo! lol On the lighter side, I wanted to share this picture of Me in Legacy Carnival Costume 2005, I took this pic in Trinidad. I love my culture, I love my soca and calypso music, I love my callaloo, pelau and roti, I love my Divali, Eid ul Fitr and Carnival Festivals. I love to dance barefeet in the sand for Tobago's Sunday School party. I love spending Ash wednesday on the beach after a good Jump UP for Carnival Monday and Tuesday. I love Masquerading and Customs and steelpan I love my rainbow color people and multirace people I'm so happy I've been blessed with the opportunity to be born in a country with such a rich culture. This the section my mom will be playing in this year Legacy 2006, it is called artica. I can't wait to see the pics. I hope you have learnt something about my county I love sharing and educating people about it.
